Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the most successful captain of the Indian cricket team, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, while Suresh Raina, following in the footsteps of the former captain, has also said goodbye to cricket. In a video message on Instagram, Mahendra Singh said, "Thank you, thank you for your love and cooperation, consider me retired after 7:29."

Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh holds the title of India's most successful captain, leading the team to three ICC Champions Trophies, the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI captaincy, according to Indian media. The last time he played was in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup against New Zealand, in which India lost.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from Test cricket in December 2014 and played in the T20 and World Cup. Under his leadership, the Indian team reached the semi-finals of the 215 and 2016 T20 World Cups. Dhoni has scored 10733 runs in 350 ODIs. Dhoni wanted to retire after playing World T20 2020 but the event was postponed due to Corona and his dream remained unfulfilled. On the other hand, following Mahendra Singh, Indian batsman Suresh Raina has also announced his retirement from cricket. Regarding Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he said that it was a lot of fun to play with him.
