Junior Account Officer Muhammad Yousuf arrested for corruption of Rs 200 million in Rachi Port Trust
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Muhammad Yousuf, a junior account officer of KPT, for corruption worth Rs 200 million in Karachi Port Trust, while raids are being carried out to arrest KPTA chief account officer Uzair Ahmed. Khusro Rashid, a manager of a government bank involved, and Sharq, a citizen, were arrested last night.According to GTV, Sadaf Siddiqui, AVP of a state-owned bank, has also been nominated in KPT fraud. Director FIA Karchi Munir Sheikh said that the arrested accused Sharq is the husband of the nominated accused Sadaf Siddiqui. Under the guise of board and treasury bill, the money was transferred to a fake account. The accused later withdrew the money transferred to the fake account.
